TG - 00080 ca. 1934 Dobro Style 37 Tenor Guitar     EXC+   This baby is in exceptionally fine condition and it is set up just great and plays and sounds fantastic. LS - 00037 1939 Gibson EH- 185 Lap Steel     VG++   Here's the rare one with the aluminum headstock that becomes an aluminum slab that runs the whole length of the instrument under the fingerboard and surfacing on the body to surround the triple bound Charlie Christian pickup. The back has factory non slip paint. And it has the wonderful tweed hard shell case with the racing stripes we love so well.
    Price:   $2195.00

HM - 0001 1938 Bronson Honolulu Master Hawaiian Guitar     EXC   Well folks, it just doesn't get much better than this.     16 3/4" lower bout !   4 1/2" Deep !   1 7/8" nut width   25 1/2" scale length This thing sounds like a piano ! All original and in beautiful condition with few solidly repaired cracks on it's bodacious pearl trimmed spruce top. Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Large three piece laminated mahogany square neck combined with a nicely radiused rosewood fingerboard and radiused compensated bridge saddle beg the question: "To convert or not to convert?"   While exceedingly rare and now all original .... this baby would make one heck of a fine spanish style guitar. Art Deco abounds here in the engraved fingerboard inlays and on one of the most 'perfect' Hawaiian headstock designs ever. Original engraved tuning pegs. Hard shell case.
    Price:   $5650.00    SOLD

UK - 0004 Late Forties Vega "Arthur Godfrey" De Luxe Solo-Lute     EXC   The great Arthur Godfrey lent his moniker to a few great ukeleles and this is certainly one of the greatest. Overall length is 31 1/2" and the scale length is 21" while the lower bout measures 9 3/4" wide. Mahogany top sides, neck and back. Pearl inlaid fingerboard, nice original tuning pegs and the signature of the man himself on the headstock and his personal designation on the label. Oversize chipboard case.

Aged spruce top with abalone trim around the edge and soundhole. Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Tree of life vine inlayed in the fingerboard. Ornate inlaid headstock and original tuning pegs. Price:   $4500.00

KA - 0001 1934 Kay Wood Amplifying Guitar     EXC   Extremely rare all original example from the earliest years of the Kay Musical Instrument Company in Chicago. It's in beautiful condition and has a great woody 'resonant' sound just picked and really comes alive when you slide that bottleneck onto it. The top has a sunburst bound wooden coverplate under which is a wooden resonating chamber with a trough that 'feeds' the sound upward to the dual grille holes. It's a big guitar with a 15 3/4" lower bout and a 25 3/4" scale length. Nut width is 1 23/32". It is bound top, back and neck and it's sunburst all over, including the top and back as well as the sides and the back of the neck. It sports the patented Stromberg- Voisinette neck angle adjuster mechanism that actually allows you to change the neck angle without steam and glue and all the messy stuff. It has it's original tuning pegs and the headstock logo is in beautiful shape. It has been recently set up John Knutson and is in fine fettle. This is only the second one of these I've ever seen and it is an exceptional specimen. No case but we'll ship securely.
    Price:   $2995.00

The tuning pegs are the same ones that come on 30's Martins with one shaft slightly bent but working fine. Big chrome cover protects the big pickup and the Master Voicer control lets you be 'mellow', 'normal', or ... 'brilliant'. The Epiphone shield proudly resides on the peghead and the original case with the embossed "E" on the inside is in nice shape.
